How to feed your faith and not your fear ?

Fear will hold you to move towards faith to God. If your heart is filled with fear, you will doubt the promises of God and nothing left with you but unanswered prayer. Faith will always please the Lord. It is impossible to please God without faith. We should walk in faith and not in fear.

What shall we do to boost our faith?

1. Bless the Lord and declare His goodness in playing instruments and singing.

King David is the good example of a true worshipper of God.

He blessed the Lord three times a day. No wonder why Yahweh was so pleased with David and His covenant of blessing and protection was with him. David was able to face Goliath and the rest of the enemies of Israel because the Presence of the Lord was with Him.

2. Meditate the Word of God, dwell in the promises of God.

Joshua is a courageous man of God on earth and led the people of Israel to serve Yahweh after Moses. The Presence of the Lord was with him and he was able to lead the people of Israel to win many battles including Jericho a fortified city with great wall but was destroyed by God.

3. Replace your negative thoughts with the good and positive

thoughts.

Paul exhorted the churches to renew their mind and dwell in pure thoughts that produces faith in God. The battle is in the mind, what you think is what you will become. Be careful in what you think. Dwell in the positive thoughts. It will feed your faith.

4. Thank the Lord and remember all His benefits.

The return of our gratitude to God is what the Lord wants to see in us

Thanksgiving is always uttered by the humble servants of God.

Thanksgiving is part of the many feasts in Israel to exalt Yahweh and remember Him as the Great Deliverer from the slavery in Egypt and even during the exiled periods in their history as a nation.

Let us learn this important lesson that thanksgiving is the right respond in all circumstances in life, rain or shine, good or bad, in time of trial or victory. We should give thanks to the Lord for He is good and no plan of evil in us.

Psalm 1:1-6

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,

Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

And in His law he meditates day and night.

3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,

Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither;

And in whatever he does, he prospers.

4 The wicked are not so,But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,

But the way of the wicked will perish.

Joshua 1:8

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
