Overcoming your Fear with the Scripture.

Fear is a lie of the devil. He will suggest more fears in your mind every time he has chance to do it. Do not be caught unaware, because it will affect you in making a sound decision. You have to recognize the voice of the devil and the voice of the Holy Spirit.

The voice of the Spirit of God will lead you to trust God. He is constantly reminding you the promises of God in the Scripture.

Faith comes from hearing the Word of God. Romans 10:17. Jesus rebuked the devil by the Word of God, In Matthew 4:4..Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Encourage yourself with the written Word of God and when you speak it with faith you can rebuke the lies of the devil.

Here are some verses that can help you to stand against the wiles of the devil.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Matthew 6:25-27  “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”

Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalm 112: 1, 7-8 Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord. They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the Lord. Their hearts are steady, they will not be afraid.

Psalm 34:4–5

“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”

Psalm 23:4

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Psalm 46:1–3

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.”
