How to encourage yourself as an intercessor/prayer warrior when no one is around to encorage you

Prayer of worship is the best way to encourage yourself because God is the only Person standing with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Worship God instead of complaining, a thankful heart will release the worship in you that will be pleasing like sweet aroma of worship unto God who created you.

Remind yourself of the many promises of God from the Scripture. Claim each of them by faith. Speak unto Him every promise He has made for His people, for it will not return to Him void. The Lord is watching over His Word to fulfill it.

Have a good rest in the Presence of God. Waiting upon the Lord by looking at His majestic creations because all His creations speak the glory of God. The earth was created by God as your home. Build and take care of your home so that you will always see the glory of God.

Do a prayer journey or conduct a prayer walk. Go to the streets and to the places where the people go and as you see the people and the surroundings be sensitive to what the Lord is telling you to pray. You will receive strength to pray for what kind of burden the Lord sees among the people. Bless the people with your prayer and after your prayer you will receive enormous peace from God in your heart.

Prayer warriors and intercessors are frontliners in the spiritual battles wherein the release of the dunamis power of God must be demonstrated. The prayer ministry is the back bone of the Church, a weak church is a result of a weak prayer ministry within the church. Encourage the believer to be a prayer warrior, this is a ministry for every believer and not only for some leaders in the church. It is the ministry that showcases the grace and mercy of God and the miraculous intervention of God can be witnessed. The ground for empowering the disciples of Jesus to continue the Gospel preaching and the ministry of healing to the sick and deliverance to the captives.

Arise church raise up the army of God, raise up the banner of Jesus in our prayer ministry.

Reasons why there are unanswered prayers

Matthew 21:22:

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Jesus himself encouraged us to pray to His Father in heaven to experience God’s abounding mercy and grace. God in His sovereign power will answer our prayers for He will make all things beautiful in His time.

But why there are unanswered prayers? Is it really unanswered or we just don’t want to accept that its a “no” answer from our prayer. It is important to know the reasons why we are receiving a “no” answer from God so we can trust Him more, even if God will not answer our prayer in favor for us.

God can answer in three responses.

1. Our prayer request may be granted especially when we ask in faith. So its a yes answer.

2. God can answer a “no” answer too when it is not in accordance to His will. We should know His Word to know His will.

3. He can also tell us to patiently wait at the right time. In His time, He makes all things beautiful.

From the Scripture we can see some of the reasons why we are not receiving the favor from Him.

Reason 1: SIN:

Psalm 66:18: If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.

Reason 2: LACK OF FAITH:

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Isaiah 43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

Psalms 138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Daniel 10:12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Gratitude is a catalyst for answered prayers, when we thank Him for what He has done, we see more of His goodness in our lives. As a matter of fact, every prayer starts and ends with thanksgiving. Whatever you are not grateful for, you will most likely lose. Ingratitude will always lead to unanswered prayers. Thanksgiving is the only solution to ingratitude.

We cannot separate our prayer from the Word of God. When we pray to God we have to use the Word of God to speak His own words of promises that we keep in our heart. Put God into remembrance and it will not return to Him void.

The Word of God also the great weapon of defense to fight the lies of the devil. Jesus overcame him by the Word of God and so we shall do the same thing like Jesus. This is what He taught us. We should remain in His Word for this is How we can overcome the works of the devil.

In prayer we are engaged in spiritual warfare, Paul instructed us to wear the full armor in the battle against the principalities in the air, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places.

These legions are the spirits hindering our prayers but the prayer in faith and praying through the Spirit of God can penetrate the throne of God.

But most of the Christians do not understand this kind of rule of engagement in prayer. Ephesians 6:16-24 and specifically mentioned in verse 18 that all our prayers should be done at all times in the Spirit referring to the Holy Spirit of God. Praying in tongues is praying in the Spirit. Our mind is unfruitful because we do not understand what we are praying in the Spirit. The Spirit of God is using our human faculties to perform the prayer through us.

The believers in Christ should be engaged in this kind of prayer in order to become powerful and influential to the nations. This is one of the big responsibilities that we have in following Jesus.

Part to be blamed are the spiritual leaders who do not teach the church to be involved more in prayers. Its high time to raise faithful disciples in the Church of the Living God.

Revive the Church again from her long sleep like sleeping beauty. The beauty that should not sleep and useless. She must arise and show her real beauty God gave her. Powerful enough to do the greater works Jesus was saying that the believers will do greater works than He did for He will come to the Father in heaven to intercede for us. Take heed and be involved in order to arise above and beyond these evil days. Be transformed from glory to glory and be victorious through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Let us meditate these promises of God so that when you need encouragement during the time of trials, these promises of God will strengthen your faith unto God. The Word of God will boost our faith to see the miracles of the Holy Spirt of God.

Prayer of gratitude:

Lord nothing we deserved from you, but by your mercy and grace we shall come boldly into your throne and pray for your beautiful and blessed life though Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Thank you for your everlasting covenant of peace and joy that we truly enjoy because of your faithful love upon your children. May we continue to grow in your gracious provisions. Amen.

What are the lessons we can learn from this ongoing pandemic challenges

Love God above all and live for Him. We became aware that God is Sovereign and He can use this situation to get our attention, that He is the Giver of life we are enjoying and now that we have a challenge to protect this life, we realized that God is our Creator and Protector that this life that we have is passion for His purpose and we should find that purpose in Him, for in Him we lived and moved and have our being. Seek God and your emptiness will be satisfied.

Love your family and friends while you have time to love them. I have lost friends and relatives because they were infected and died of covid 19. I realized that time is so short and death is inevitable. Every moment should be spent wisely to share love and be a blessing, first to your family and friends, then to other people that you meet randomly. We are loved and blessed by God to be a blessing to others.

Love yourself the way God loves you. If you will love yourself the way God loves you. You will see your beautiful purpose and you will live your life beautifully for that purpose. You will see your strengths above and beyond your weaknesses. Your happiness will be no longer based in the temporal things but with God. You will please Him and worship Him in all your ways. Humility will replace you vanity.

Love not the world and the things in this world for this will cause you to sin. I have realized that most of us created more idols that caused us to give more excuses to spend time with God. We committed the sin of idolatry and put God at the bottom of our priority list.

Let us return to the Lord and remove our “idols”. Our excessive love to someone or something more than the love we give to God will make our God Jealous and sins will separate us from His love. Obsessive love for money and material things will corrupt your mind and heart and eventually you will be inviting the wrath of God to fall on you.

The basic reason for our living is to walk with God and to obey Him.

Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?

The Lord requires three things :

To do justice – do what is good and righteous before God and men. Do not allow corruption to eat you to promote evil doings because in the long run the wrath of God will chase you.

To love kindness – kindness is showing grace and mercy, the other word for kindness is generosity. Do not allow selfish desires but be filled with the love of God to share it.

To walk humbly with your God– this means complete surrender and submission to God to do His will. Do not allow rebellious spirit in your heart because the end of it is destruction.

Oh Abba Father, Lord of heaven and earth we ask for your forgiveness from the many idols we have created that blinded us to see your great love towards us. Teach and lead us to know you more each day and to walk with you with humility and obedience to your Word of truth. May your Holy Spirit protect us from the harm of the devil and his legions. May your divine provisions satisfy our thirsty and hungry body, soul and spirit longing for your love and tender care. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Courageous Exercise of Faith in Time of Adversity

The courageous exercise of faith was applied by the men of God to defeat discouragement and fear of the challenges in serving God.

You must exercise faith to allow God to work for you in the supernatural battles overwhelming us and causing us to fear them. These battles truly belong to our God but our obedience and trust to Him will courageously give us strength to face squarely these battles and adversities that will lead us unto victory.

There are several Scriptural references wherein God reminded His servants like Moses, Joshua, David and the rest of the men of faith to be strong and take courage while facing their difficult times, and in due time they were able to see the salvation and deliverance of God because they faint not.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Deuteronomy 31:7

And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

Deuteronomy 31:23

And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I swear unto them: and I will be with thee.

Joshua 1:6

Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I swear unto their fathers to give them.

Joshua 1:9

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Chronicles-1 19:13

Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do [that which is] good in his sight.

Chronicles-1 22:13

Then shalt thou prosper, if thou take heed to fulfill the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.

Chronicles-1 28:20

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do [it]: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, [even] my God, [will be] with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 31:24

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Let us learn from their experience with God. Facing a difficult time of uncertainty is not so easy to bear. Fear will put your steps on hold to move forward but the Word of the Lord is clear. We are commanded to move forward with courageous strength and continue in our faith journey with God.

These are 3 steps to practice to be strong and courageous and to have the eyes of faith that will enable you to see the miraculous intervention of God.

1. Meditate the Word of God until it becomes rooted from your heart that will increase your faith.

The rhema word is the one that made triggered your faith. Rhema because the Word of God becomes alive in you.

2. Worship Him in the spirit and in truth.

The way I understand this is that you should allow the Spirit of God to teach you how the Lord will be pleased with your moment with Him.

Let His Word of knowledge be understood by your spirit by seeking and waiting to hear from the Spirit of God. This will lead you to give your acceptable worship coming from the bottom of your heart with great love to Jesus our Lord who have called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

3. Let His strength be your strength by allowing His gentle Spirit to pray with you.

If you will allow Him to do that, He will exactly pray what are needed to pray and the devil cannot hinder that prayer with Him. This is the advantage of those who exercise praying in tongues. They can pray effectively because the power of the Spirit of God is with them.

Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

1 Corinthians 14:2 – For he that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

The two verses above will give us an encouragement to practice speaking in tongues, for it is given for self edification and to edify other believers too. Covet to speak in tongues so that you can pray in tongues and allow the Spirit of the Lord to lead you as you lead His people victoriously in the midst of tribulation with stronger faith unto God.

How the “Man of God” will flow with the Revelation Knowledge of God.

Truly God moves in mysterious ways beyond our comprehension. His ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are higher that our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

I Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

He uses ordinary people with weaknesses but with extra ordinary faith, regardless of the weaknesses found in them, with a repentant heart and by the grace and mercy of God, they will experience the transforming power of the Word of God.

You can be the “man of God” to be sent to someone to speak His words for a divine purpose. A vessel to be used to touch a particular person or group of people.

What it takes to be called a man of God ?

To be called “man of God” is not limited to the 5 fold ministry. But most of the time God appointed someone to lead the Church, and He will give gifts of offices like the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for edification and equipping of the church.(Ephesians 4:11-16/ I Corinthians 12:28

When God send a man of God for a divine purpose. He will do it in His own way. But He will send the responsible and the available servant of God. The one who diligently seek Him in faith.

Regardless of who you are, God will send you to someone else to minister to that person, or to a flock of sheep or to a specific nation with a specific task and that is to bless the “sheep” nations.

1. Have you still remember when was the last time God used you to someone in need of God?

Please share that moment in time when God touched you to do something for the Lord to encourage your community to serve the Living God. Remember the woman in the well who gave water to Jesus. She was blessed to bless others with her testimony.

2. When was the last time you have received a revelation knowledge from God?

Please share the revelation knowledge from God to bless the right person and when they receive that revelation knowledge that was given to you to bless a particular person. They will be blessed and bless others too.

Ex. One night God urged me to pray for my sisters Luisa and Dolly. I prayed in tongues because I do not know what to pray for them. In the morning I was informed that the time when I prayed for them they were in danger and the 3rd floor of the dormitory where they stayed was damaged by fire.

revelation knowledge is the revealing or disclosing of some form of truth or specific “knowledge” through communication with a God for specific purpose from God.

God can communicate through…

Dreams (Acts 2:17/Joel 2:28)

Vision (Acts 2:17/Joel 2:28)

Sweet and gentle voice of the Holy Spirit in prayers and in any casual day.

Confirmation from the Scripture through hearing from the preaching and meditation from the Word of God.

Diligent study of the Scripture texts using other research books and commentaries and transliteration.

How to continue living in grace and mercy of God to receive the revelation knowledge of God.

Follow the acronym FOCUS.

Faith – have faith in the work of Christ. The righteous shall live by faith. Faith will increase as we know the Word of God. Read the Scripture and meditate upon it to receive new revelation of who Jesus is.(John1) He is the Word of God who became flesh and lived among us.

It is impossible to please God without faith.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Obedience – Obey the voice of the Holy Spirit, He will guide you in all truth. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Teacher, have time to listen to His gentle voice within you everyday.

Confess your sins – the Lord will not hear us if we regard iniquities in our heart.

Unveil His Words through meditation of the Scriptures – we have to know the many promises of God. The promises of God are made available for those who seek Him and believe in His words.

Seek the Lord in prayer. Our daily provision of grace must be asked in our prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Even with the provision for spiritual strength, He will provide you with a revelation knowledge of who He is and that revelation knowledge will be used at the right time. Jesus taught us how to pray then do it.

What a great joy to know that God is so mindful of us and abounding in grace and mercy and speaking to us with His transforming revelation knowledge that is made available for those who seek Him in faith and in humility. Let us share this truth that will liberate those suffering souls who are still living in the lies of the devil.

The grace we truly enjoyed must be generously shared and in that way we can express true gratitude to God who is gracious to us. This is the way of God to bless many lives through a vessel who is called “ the man of God” and that is YOU.

May the Lord bless you and keep you and may His abounding grace and mercy be with you and your lives must be filled with the revelation knowledge of God both now and ever. Amen.

The Christians with an “Itching Ears”

Are you developing “Itching ears” or Falling away from truth?

Jesus said that know the truth and the truth will set you free.(John 8:32)

Jesus is the truth! ( John14:6 – I am the way, the truth and the life, no man can come to the Father but by me.)

Today’s meditation is about knowing the truth. The word “know” used here is to establish a relationship. When we say that we know Jesus we are to stay in the truth. Jesus himself is the established truth of God. He is the Word of God.(John1:1-14) Walking with Jesus is walking in truth. If we say we walk in truth we obey his commandments and his teachings.

2 Timothy 4: 1-5In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Paul warned Timothy not to depart from truth and preach the truth. Timothy was instructed by Paul to correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and careful instruction, for the equipping of the church to ensure that they will not turn away from truth.

Are you developing “itching ears” or falling away from truth? It’s hard to admit that we are having “itching ears”.

Here are the warnings:

1John 1:6- If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not live the truth.

1 Timothy 4:1-Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the later time some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, doctrines of demons.

2 Corinthians 4:4 in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God …

Modern-day Christians consciously or subconsciously affected by religious pluralism. It is an attitude or policy regarding the diversity of religious belief systems co- existing in society.

How are we affected with this in a democratic governance? People have the tendency to accept and tolerate different religious practices in co-existing in society. The infusion of other belief systems subconsciously accepting by their mind and integrate it with their belief system and then later it became part their belief system ruling their whole being.

God will not allow syncretism or combination of Christian beliefs and other religious beliefs. We cannot serve two masters all at the same time. Jesus Christ must me the center of our belief system no more no less. The Scripture is our standard. Those who profess to be Christian should not flow with the belief system of the unbelievers.

As Christian prayer warriors, we are called to pray faithfully and hear from the voice of God and what ever we may hear from God we deliver to the church to strengthen and protect them. Our calling required constant fellowship with Jesus Christ and continuous renewing of mind (Romans 12:1-2) through the Scripture to avoid itching ears or falling away from truth. We should ask for wisdom from the Spirit of God so that we can have the ability to resist the lies of the false religions, cults and occults. (James 1:5)

May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His truth shine upon you ! Amen.
